For more than 35 years, the Sippican Woman’s Club has welcomed visitors to our beloved Holiday by the Sea House Tour, a cherished Marion tradition that captures the magic of the season. Guests are invited to step inside beautifully decorated homes throughout our picturesque town by the sea, each offering its own festive charm and holiday inspiration. The celebration continues with a delightful Sugarplum Tea at Tabor Academy and concludes with a warm and lively after hours gathering at the Beverly Yacht Club. This Holiday by the Sea House Tour is more than just a holiday tradition; it serves as a vital part of our Sippican Woman's Club fundraising efforts, with all profits supporting scholarships for Marion students and local organizations that enrich and strengthen our community. Additionally, we invite everyone to join our Illuminate to Educate event, which further underscores our commitment to education and community support.
In lieu of the traditional Holiday by the Sea House Tour during the years of the Covid Pandemic (2020 – 2021), the Sippican Woman's Club fundraising committee canceled the Holiday House Tour and opted for a summer, 4th of July “Illuminate to Educate event.”
Through the sales of luminaria kits, the SWC was able to continue providing scholarships to graduating seniors and undergraduates.
During July, the Town of Marion was lit in festive luminaria bags, serving as a tribute to our country and to our club's mandate.
